Permanent Resident

Canadian Permanent Resident has permanent resident status in Canada by immigrating to Canada. There are many pathways to getting permanent resident status in Canada – Express Entry Programs, Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs), Canada’s Government-Assisted Refugee Program, Private Sponsorship of Refugee Program, and other programs. A Permanent Resident must be present in Canada for 730 days during the last five years to keep his Canadian Permanent Status.

Canadian Permanent Residents can work and live anywhere in Canada. They can also leave Canada at any time when they wish. They can also voluntarily renounce their Permanent Resident status. Canadian Permanent Residents have access to free health care. They can sponsor a spouse, common-law partner, and dependent children (age restriction applies) to bring them back to Canada. Up to Secondary School education is provided to the Permanent Resident free of cost. They can apply for Canadian Citizenship after meeting the IRCC requirements.
